The team behind the models in KAI Analytics. Open projects in energy, climate, health and the public sector. Now accepting research partners.
We're launching Kleene Labs, our research and development team, as an open program for universities, research institutions and companies working on applied AI problems.
Kleene Labs is where the machine-learned models now in KAI Analytics, including demand forecasting, customer segmentation, media mix modeling and price elasticity, were first developed, and where we're building the next ones. Until now that work has been internal. From today we're inviting partners to bring hard problems and the data behind them, and to work alongside our analytics and data science team to solve them.
What Kleene Labs does
Labs takes a research problem from an open question to a working, deployable model. We run projects with partners who hold the data, the domain expertise, or the research capability, and we focus on areas where existing methods fall short. Methods developed in Labs are then generalized and released into KAI Analytics for our customers.
Our current work spans energy, climate, health and the public sector. We chose those fields because their problems are more demanding than typical commercial analytics, and because what we learn solving them makes the models we ship better.
Who we work with
We're looking for three kinds of partner: organizations with a substantial dataset and an unanswered question attached to it, domain specialists who know what matters in their field and need a model built, and research groups that want an applied partner to take a method into production.
